After graduating from Florida International University, her practice skills have been advanced by a post graduate fellowship in upper limb rehabilitation and participation in several continuing education courses along with work experience in a variety of rehabilitation centres. Registered and licensed to practice in both Jamaica and Florida, her general practice at THE OT CLINIC provides services primarily to adults. Jamaican registration – Council of Professions Allied to Medicine. Over the years she has developed a unique combination of practice specialties. At The OT Clinic, various neurological, upper limb and other orthopaedic diagnoses along with work related conditions are treated. Clients are seen who have experienced diagnoses including cerebral vascular accidents (stroke), spinal cord injuries, head injuries, Parkinson’s Disease, arthritic conditions, burns, amputations, upper extremity fractures, hand injuries- tendon and nerve pathologies, cognitive and perceptual disorders and back and neck pain. As an occupational therapist, Fleur provides services to individuals who need specialized assistance in learning or relearning skills to enable them to lead independent, productive and satisfying lives. |
