Occupational Therapy (OT) is a rehabilitation specialty that assists people in developing "skills for the job of living", which are necessary for an independent and satisfying life. Occupational Therapists (OTs) work with people of all ages, who may have physical, mental and/or social problems, resulting from birth trauma, neurodevelopmental and/or behavioural disorders, an accident, illness or ageing. Subsequently, simple personal activities of daily living such as getting dressed, self- feeding, having a shower, functioning in your kitchen or going to work or school, socialising and undertaking a favourite hobby may become more difficult or impossible.
